If you are a CVS customer and have recently used any of the company's digital properties then you might be owed some money.

Why? Well, there is a $20.5 million class action settlement that was reached with the pharmacy chain regarding its customers' personal data being potentially compromised.

Who Qualifies for the CVS Settlement Payment

The class action lawsuit claims that CVS disclosed customers' personal data collected on the company's website to Criteo, an advertising company. CVS said it didn't violate any laws, but agreed to settle the case.

The settlement includes payments of either $5 or $10 to affected customers, and a significant number of people are potentially affected. "All living individuals who accessed the CVS Digital Properties in the United States prior to July 27, 2026” qualify for at least a $5 payment.

What exactly are "CVS Digital Properties?" According to the settlement agreement, those include the CVS website (CVS.com), the CVS Health website (CVSHealth.com) or the CVS app. So, if you accessed any of those digital properties, you are eligible to get some money.

How to Get $5 vs. $10 — What You Need to Prove

Here's the catch. If you want to get the full $10 payment, you will have to prove that you used the website or app when filing a claim. The claim form prompts you to upload a piece of proof, "like browser search history, screenshots showing dates, and/or email receipts of online purchases demonstrating your access of a CVS Digital Property prior to July 27, 2026.”

Now, if you can't prove you used the site or the app, you can still file a claim for $5.

How and When to File Your CVS Settlement Claim

You can fill out the claim form online or send it by mail. The deadline to file is November 16, 2026, and you can elect to receive your payment via PayPal, Venmo or Zelle.

A final approval hearing in the case is scheduled for December 1, 2026.
