Former Ku Klux Klan leader, and  past Louisiana House of Representatives member David Duke announced today that he is running for United States Senate. You might remember that Duke ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in 1990, and for Louisiana governor in 1991. He also ran for president in 1992. Duke served in prison in 2002 after stealing money from his supporters and cheating on his taxes. He is a registered Republican, and is looking to fill the seat vacated by Senator David Vitter. He joins Rep. John Fleming, Rep. Charles Boustany, and state treasurer John Kennedy in the race.
