It was a hurry up and wait situation in the house since Barry made landfall as a Hurricane early Saturday morning. But Sunday will bring soaking rains to Acadiana as tropical bands continue to drop heavy rain coastal parts of the state. As of the current model runs, rainfall totals will not reach the catastrophic levels of 25" or more.

Dave Baker and Daniel Phillips are watching the Vermilion River closely. We'll keep an eye out for damage, but there are a few trees down in Lafayette. Stay tuned to KPEL for more information as it becomes available.
