Good news for those who need to fly to Canada. Direct flights between New Orleans and Montreal will begin this fall.

According to a news release, Air Transat will offer two direct flights per week from Louis Armstrong International Airport starting November 3.

With this addition, the airport will now fly to a total of eight international destinations, allowing the city to connect more people worldwide to everything New Orleans has to offer.

When you are able to fly direct to Montreal, it will be from the new Louis Armstrong International Airport.

Even though the new $1 billion terminal's grand opening did not happen in May as previously expected, things should be up and running by early November.
