With all due respect to Coca-Cola, the unofficial soft drink of Louisiana may just be Dr Pepper.

Since 1885, this tasty carbonated drink hasn't really been messed with all that much. (Sans a diet version.)

However, a twist to Dr Pepper will be coming soon.

At the National Association of Convenience Stores convention this past weekend, the makers of the drink announced that Dr Pepper & Cream Soda would be making its debut in March of 2020.

The new soft drink features all the flavors of original Dr Pepper with a hint of creaminess.

According to Instagrammer Candy Hunting, the flavor of the Dr Pepper Cream soda is actually better "due to the added vanilla flavor, these aren't as strong on the classic Dr Pepper taste. Therefore, the flavor here is much less polarizing than original Dr Pepper. I actually like this flavor, unlike the original!"

While it's uncertain whether this new soda flavor will be a limited edition or permanent, one thing for sure is this new DP is just begging for a scoop of ice cream.

Ahh, let us all count the minutes until it arrives.
