A road project that will last close to three weeks will be starting this Wednesday, March 1 in Lafayette Parish.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will be working on the ongoing widening project for Verot School Road, and that means the crews will be closing Lozes Road at its intersection with Verot.

The project will start this Wednesday at 7 o'clock in the morning and is expected to be completed by Monday, March 20 at 7 o'clock that morning.

You can detour around the closure by using Nariede Street along with Fabiola Avenue, and DOTD says crews will post signs on how to detour around the project.
