New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is heading to his ninth Pro Bowl, and eighth as a member of the Saints, a franchise record.

Brees surpasses Hall of Fame offensive tackle Willie Roaf, who held the franchise record for most Pro Bowl appearances as a Saint with 7.

Brees has made the pro bowl eight times in nine seasons with the Saints. It marks his 7th consecutive selection to the All-Star game. He was selected to his first Pro Bowl in 2004 as a member of the San Diego Chargers.

Brees finished tied for the league lead in 2014 in passing yards (4,932). He tossed 33 touchdowns this season (tied for 6th best in league), along with an impressive completion percentage (69.2) that ranked second best in the league.

Brees also led the NFL in 2014 in completions (456) and attempts (659).

He replaces Ben Roethlisberger on the Pro Bowl roster. Roethlisberger pulled out due to an injury.
