Fabulous Forecast Could Mean Record Crowds For Festival International
This is the week that many people in Acadiana plan their lives around. Visits from faraway friends are choreographed to happen during this week. School schedules at college are often ignored and personal days at work are scheduled just to coincide with Festival International.
Mother Nature, speaking through her interpreters at the National Weather Service, has obviously heard the prayers of festival goers and organizers. This could be some of the best springtime weather we've ever experienced during the run of Festival International in downtown Lafayette.
There is a minimal chance of a shower late in the day Wednesday. That 30% chance of showers will stay in the forecast through Thursday. Forecasters are suggesting a 20% chance of a passing shower on Friday but any rain event would be very short lived.
The Festival International weekend forecast couldn't be more beautiful than if Rob Perrillo painted it in person. Look for a mix of clouds and mostly sunny for Saturday and Sunday and afternoon temperatures just warm enough to make a sundress the fashion of choice.
