FDA Recalls Several Brands Of Dry Dog Food
Pet owners across Acadiana and the nation are being encouraged to double check the dry dog food they are serving their pets. The Food and Drug Administration has issued a nationwide recall of several brands of dry dog food.
The food in question has been sold nationwide and there is a strong reason to believe some of the recalled food brands have been sold in Louisiana. Here's a list of what brands are under the FDA recall order.

- Evolve Chicken & Rice Puppy Dry Dog Food
- Sportsman’s Pride Large Breed Puppy Dry Dog Food
- Triumph Chicken & Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food
- Ahold Delhaize (firm has not yet issued recall press)
- Nature’s Promise Chicken & Brown Rice Dog Food

The primary reason for the recall is for vitamin D toxicity. Pet owners are encouraged to observe their pets and if they notice signs of lethargy, loss of appetite, or vomiting to contact their animal healthcare provider immediately.
