Festival International Re – Examines Security After Boston Bombings

From our friends at the Advertiser.com : Within hours of learning about the Boston Marathon bombings, local law enforcement officers and the organizers of Festival International de Louisiane were in touch to talk about security for the April 24-28 event.“We’re looking at our existing action plan and what we might need to do to prepare,” Dana Baker, festival executive director, said Tuesday.

Law enforcement and festival organizers are taking this very seriously, to make sure that the hundreds of thousands of people who flock to downtown Lafayette April 24-28 will feel safe. “Safety is our No. 1 concern,” Baker said.
