There were many downed trees and a lot of debris in Crowley due to Hurricane Laura. There were about 16 fire crews that have been working in Crowley all day Thursday for the clean-up process of the large trees.

KATC’s Briana Aldridge was in Crowley and able to talk to Fire Chief Terry Romero. Romero said that all of Thursday's work will help to get the power crews into the neighborhoods so that residents could get their power back on.

The groups started on the west side of the city and moved through the neighborhoods from there, traveling throughout all of Crowley, cutting and removing large trees and branches.

The west side and the south side of Crowley saw damage from the storm.
