Here's something positive to come out of 2020, an all-female firefighting crew! Down in South Florida, there are five female firefighters making history. It's the first-ever all-women firefighting team in the Palm Beach Gardens, Florida Fire Rescue's 57-year history.

Krystyna Heiser Krakowski, Rescue Lt. with Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue told KMOV, “It’s the first time we had in our department a female as a captain, a driver, a firefighter, rescue lieutenant and a medic."

We can do anything. We are capable of anything. Don't let anything stop you. -Krakowski

Lt. Krakowski is very excited that other male co-workers and both men and women from other fire departments have been been very supportive taking to social media in support of the all-women crew.

Chief James N. Ippolito said when filling the fire station positions, it just so happened that every position turned out to be female. 58 % of the departments female firefighters hold a lieutenant ranking or higher.

We made history!!!! First time in our department we have have had an all female crew!!! It is beyond empowering to stand alongside these strong woman. Not only is it awesome to get to work with these badass ladies but it’s a special day-Krakowski
