Free Food Distribution At Cajun Field Friday

The Covid-19 testing that happens daily at Cajun Field will be halted this Friday, July 31, to allow for free food distribution.

Once again, the United Way of Acadiana and Second Harvest are teaming up with the university to hold a food distribution event on Friday.

Officials with the two organizations say they will be able to distribute enough food to feed between 1,000 and 1,300 families.

The gates will open at 10 o'clock and close at approximately 12 o'clock, or until the food supply is exhausted.

The drive-thru Covid-19 testing will begin on Sunday, August 2, 2020 for anyone experiencing Covid symptoms.

If you need a test, you are asked to register at http://www.DoINeedaCOVID19test.com. You can register at the site, but organizers say you will have to wait longer.
