Florida has gotten a reputation as a place where really strange things happen all the time. However, this strange occurrence only happens when the weather gets really cold.

The current malady affecting the Sunshine State? Falling Iguanas. I know it sounds like a band you'd pay to go see at a Key West bar doesn't it? But it's real. Actual lizards and I mean really large lizards,  toppling out of trees and on to the ground or whatever happens to be underneath them when gravity takes hold.

The cold weather basically puts the cold-blooded reptiles into a dormant state. Once the lizards warm up, they are usually just fine. It's just one of nature's quirky ways of taking care of its creatures.
