Lots of us from Acadiana love making trips up into the Great Smoky Mountains. Specifically, we enjoy spending time in the great town of Gatlinburg.

Next time you go, there will be something new -- a record-breaking bridge!

On May 17 at 1 pm, "SkyBridge", North America's longest pedestrian suspension bridge, will be opening.

The bridge is nearly 700 feet long and 150 feet high.

Guests will be able to walk across at their own pace, taking in the spectacular views before walking back when they're ready.

There are even glass-floor panels in the middle of the span.
