There has been a change to the 2019 RODEOHOUSTON schedule, but it's a really good change.

The 2019 Rodeo will now run for 21 days -- from Monday, Feb. 25 to Sunday, March 17 -- adding an extra day and a concert-only performance.

And that extra concert will feature King George!

That's right, George Strait will return to RODEOHOUSTON on Sunday, March 17 for a full-length concert at NRG Stadium. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will be the only Texas performance for Strait in 2019.

Of course, we get the privilege of seeing George in Louisiana later this month as he headlines Bayou Country Superfest. That is one of only six dates he has planned right now for 2018.

The remaining 2019 RODEOHOUSTON schedule won't be announced until early January with tickets going on sale around the same time. However, a limited number of season tickets will go on sale to the public on Aug. 1, 2018.
