Get Your Cracklin’ On This Weekend In Port Barre!

 There is NOTHIN' I don't love about cracklins, so I've very excited every year for the annual Cracklin Festival in Port Barre! There is a Queen's Pageant with fifteen different age divisions, a parade down Main Street, carnival rides for all ages, live musical entertainment from local and regional artists, great food and drinks, and of course, the Cracklin Cook-Off. The Port Barre Lions Club does such a tremendous job -the festival helps them raise money for very special causes
and people. One of their largest charity donations is to the
Louisiana Eye Foundation in New Orleans.
The foundation helps people who are in need of eyeglasses
or eye surgery, but are financially unable to receive this
care.

So while you're getting your fill of delicious morsels of cracklin this weekend, you can also feel good that it's all for a good cause!
