The 2019 Port Barre Cracklin Festival is set for this weekend at Veterans Memorial Park.

The annual celebration of all things related to the south Louisiana staple will feature a cookoff, pageants, a parade, rides and games, food and drink and of course, great live music.

Festivities start on Thursday, November 7 with Family Night. It includes free admission and ride bracelet night from 5 pm to 10 pm.

The bulk of the fun begins on Friday with live music from Geno Delafose and Lance Dubroc.

And if you're really looking for some great live music, Saturday is your day. Things begin with the parade down Saizan St at 10 am. Then, enjoy the sounds of Richard Lebouef, Jamie Bergeron, Clay Cormier, Dustin Sonnier and more.

Sunday has more great music from JC Melancon, Alligator Blue, Jeff Bates along with the Cracklin Cookoff results and awards presentation.

Admission for the Port Barre Cracklin Festival is only $5.00 per person, per day. Children under 10 and active duty military with valid military ID are free. (No ice chests, glass containers or pets allowed.)
