A fire in the 100 block of St. Peter Street in New Iberia has left residents of an apartment building with little to nothing, and a GoFundMe has been set up to help them.

The fire happened on February 17th, and the structure suffered major damage.  Though everyone made it out safely, the water and fire damage left them with almost nothing. Family members are helping where they can, but more help is needed, so they have started the GoFundMe to ask for donations.

In addition to the monetary donations, clothing and housewares are needed. Here is what family members posted to Facebook:

They are also in need of items such as dishes, utensils, pots, pans, towels, sheets, some furniture pieces. - Brooke Lustman, Facebook

Enough clothing to get them by has been donated, now the families need monetary donations to help them with housing, groceries, and other essentials.

If you can afford to donate, please do. If not, please help by sharing the page.
