Gov. Edwards Says Louisiana Is On ‘Higher Alert’ Over Election Terror Concerns
This Tuesday is our Presidential election, and for the past few days we've been hearing warnings about a possible AL-Qaida terror attack on U.S. soil on Monday. Governor Edwards says they are taking the reports seriously and that Louisiana is on "Higher Alert".
There are no credible threats against any areas in Louisiana.
"We're going to do everything we can to protect the people of Louisiana,” said Gov. Edwards.
One of the main concerns is hackers tampering with the election results.

I've had conversations with Tom Schedler, secretary of state. The fact of the matter is, and it hasn't always been this case, but for a number of years now, Louisiana has the nation led the nation in terms of protecting our voting system the governor stated
"We're going to do everything we can to protect the people of Louisiana,” said Gov. Edwards.
The public is being strongly urged to report any suspicious activity to police.
