Gyth Rigdon Surprised St. Michael School With A Visit
Gyth Rigdon surprised St. Michael School with a visit today in Crowley! The students and staff were thrilled to have this very special visitor at their Morning Assembly. Gyth Rigdon, Runner Up on The Voice 2019, will be performing at the International Rice Festival this Saturday at 7:30 in Crowley, and wanted to stop by and share a special message with the students.
Gyth Rigdon is no ordinary Louisiana country boy. Raised in Singer, Louisiana, where family is everything, Gyth grew up working on a racehorse farm. His dad inspired him to play the guitar and sing. He was only 3 years old when he picked up the guitar and started singing. By the time he was 8, he was already singing in church and private parties. Hard work, determination, and faith got him where he is today. The best way to describe his music is southern rock meets country with a lot of soul. Holly Broussard, St. Michael School Development Director, said he shared his story with the children and told them he was raised in a small town, working on a farm, just like a lot of them. He told them dreams do come true and never give up on what they want in life. Needless to say, the children were so excited!
It was a surprise! He was so kind and took the time to visit with the students and take pictures. He told the students he was from a small town like Crowley and dreams do come true. The students were so excited! The St. Michael Saints love Gyth Rigdon! -Holly Broussard, St. Michael School Development Director
Be sure to check out Gyth Rigdon this Saturday night at the International Rice Festival! What a great young man!
