Have You Had Trouble Finding This Back to School Necessity?
The rush to make sure our kids have everything they need to start school is in full swing. The blessing is that parents receive a school supplies list and know exactly what kind of uniforms their kids need ahead of time.
The problem is that finding everything your kids need can prove to be harder than you think.
A Facebook "poll" was recently done asking parents this question:
"Besides the money to pay for it, what's been the most difficult thing for you to find as you get ready for Back to School?"
Many of the responses where to be expected. They mainly had to do with specific items on a supplies list that they couldn't manage to get their hands on.
However, the one response that popped up the most was a little shocking.
Uniforms? That isn't something you would expect to see so many parents having issues finding.
Then again, think about it. When kids hit growth spurts or are at that weird in between age, it can prove pretty difficult to find sizes that actually fit. It could also be that your child might be in sizes that are more common so stores sell out quicker than usual.
A plus side to Facebook posts like these is that there's usually at least one person who will comment with help or advice of some kind.
If you are open to buying second-hand clothes, this is a great piece of advice. Uniforms can be a tad pricey and its tough for some parents to swing the prices. Local donation stores like Goodwill are great places to find uniforms that are still in good condition.
If you are thinking this might be a good option for your family, you can use the Goodwill store locator to find a location nearest to you.
There was one comment that really leaves a reader wide-eyed. A mother responded to the post saying her biggest issue was that her 16-year-old son is an athlete and she has a hard time finding shoes that fit him. That might be because he wears a size 17!
All together now...
Why do you think uniforms have proven to be the most difficult back to school necessity for parents to find?
