The end of August through Labor Day and the final few weeks of Summer usually mean a major shift in the retail mindset across America.

Shopkeepers and store managers are in the process of transitioning their inventory from summertime, vacation, and warm-weather ideas to ideas that are more conducive to football, fall, and a chill in the air.

For the savvy shopper, this creates a major savings opportunity. The one discipline you need to have, though, is patience. Some of the items on our list don't really hit their deepest discounts until Labor Day Weekend.
