Hidden Bayou RV Resort

A new, unique RV experience is being proposed for construction in Ascension Parish.

If it comes to fruition, Hidden Bayou RV Resort will be a massive 40-acre RV resort according to brproud.com.

In a recent open house held at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center, investor Dustin Clouatre says he was quite pleased with the positive feedback he received from the community about possibly opening the new RV resort.

Executive director of the Ascension Parish Tourism Commission Tracy Browning tells brproud.com she's excited about the possibility of the new RV resort and all of the positive things it would bring to the community.

Jobs, tourism dollars, restaurants, and even festivals could all be possible with the addition of Hidden Bayou RV Resort in Ascension Parish.

What exactly do developers have planned for the RV resort?

From brproud.com -

  • 150-site RV area with cabins and glamping tents.
  • A pool area featuring a 500ft long lazy river
  • Pools
  • Splash pads
  • Swim-up bars
  • Snack stand
  • 3,500-square-foot reception area
  • Fitness center
  • Camping store
  • Restaurant

Hidden Bayou RV Resort would have no minimum night stay requirement according to Clouatre.

"If you don’t have an RV, you can 'rent one of the cabins or the air-conditioned glamping yurts or tents'" according to brproud.com.

If it happens, when will Hidden Bayou be open for business?

Clouatre says they're hoping the new RV resort could be open by the middle of Summer, 2024.
