Houma Man Popped For DUI On a Scooter Stolen From Walmart

Good thing for people like 24-year-old Thomas Phillips of Houma, our What Were They Smoking? segment never has a shortage of substance.

Phillips decided it a good idea to steal a motorized scooter from the local Walmart and take it for a "joy ride". Even better, he brought a friend along for the ride as he was towing a friend in a wheelchair when cops pulled him over.

Oh, and he was drunk. Big shocker! So Houma police charged Phillips with an O.W.I. in addition to theft over $500.
