Yesterday, hundreds gathered to watch the demolition of the O.K. Allen bridge in Alexandria.

Living in Alexandria for 16 years of my life, I travelled the O.K. Allen bridge between Pineville and Alexandria too many times to count. Honestly, I never trusted that bridge and felt like it was going to fall every time I was on it!

Yesterday, crowds gathered to watch as it was blown to smithereens in what was a pretty awesome spectacle.

My older brother actually caught a 78lb catfish under that bridge. That's when I learned not to try and eat a 78lb catfish. Yeah, don't do that.
