Construction on I-10 continues this week as DOTD workers will be focusing on a stretch of the interstate from Lafayette Parish to St. Martin Parish as part of the I-10 Widening Project, according to press releases from the statewide department.

  • Beginning tonight, the right lane of I-10 WESTBOUND (West of Bordelon Road Overpass) from mile marker 111 to mile marker 110 will be closed NIGHTLY until Thursday - from 8 PM to 5:30 AM each day, weather permitting. DOTD workers will be reconstructing the outside shoulder on the westbound roadway. The entrance and exit ramps at Exit 115 - LA 347 (Henderson, Cecilia) will remain open to traffic.
  • On Wednesday night - from 8 PM until 6 AM the next morning - the right lane of I-10 Eastbound between the Louisiana Avenue exit and mile marker 105 at the Vermilion River will be closed as workers make attenuator repairs.
  • On Thursday night - from 8 PM until 6 AM the next morning - there will be alternating lane closures on I-10 Eastbound between mile markers 113.6 and 118 in St. Martin Parish. The On and Off Ramps at the Henderson exit will be closed from 8 PM until 1 AM on the same night. This will allow workers to complete the traffic shift to the newly constructed section. DETOUR FOR EASTBOUND TRAFFIC: Continue on I-10 Eastbound to the Butte La Rose exit (Exit 121) and then back on I-10 Westbound to the Henderson/Cecilia exit (Exit 115 - LA 347). DETOUR FOR LA 347 TRAFFIC: I-10 Westbound to Breaux Bridge exit and then back on I-10 Eastbound
