As the I-10 Widening Project rolls on towards completion, there will be three ramp closures happening overnight on Thursday from 8 PM - 6 AM. DOTD crews will be continuing asphalt operations.

  • I-10 Eastbound Exit Ramp at Louisiana Avenue (Exit 104); DETOUR: I-10 Eastbound to Exit 109 (LA 328) and I-10 Westbound to Louisiana Avenue
  • I-10 Eastbound Entrance Ramp at Louisiana Avenue (Exit 104); DETOUR: Louisiana Avenue to I-10 Westbound to Exit 103A (US 167 south exit ramp) to I-10 Eastbound via Exit 1A
  • On Ramp of I-10 Eastbound at I-49; DETOUR: Use the interchange clover leaf ramps by taking Exit 1B (I-10 westbound on ramp), Exit 103A (US 167 South exit ramp), and I-10 Eastbound via Exit 1A

The $124.7 million I-10 Widening Project began four years ago in May 2017 and is projected to be completed in May 2021. It has been widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge, replacing pavement on existing lanes, and constructing one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).
