I-10 Reopens After Truck Crash Early Tuesday
Is it a sign of the times that more and more Louisiana residents are now out and about? The sign I am talking about is the sudden increase in traffic-related mishaps reported on Interstate 10. During the height of the lockdown we reported very few incidents on that roadway, well that all changed early Tuesday morning between the Scott exit and the exit for Ambassador Caffery Parkway.
State Police say an 18-wheeler carrying a flammable material, later identified as propylene tetramer, overturned while in the eastbound lanes of travel. The driver of the big rig was reported to be uninjured in the crash.
Motorists who want to be kept abreast of everchanging traffic incidents and slowdowns will want to download and install our station's free mobile app. Depending on the platform your phone uses you can find the app in either Google Play for Android devices or the Apple App Store. The App is free and once you have it installed you'll want to visit the settings menu to allow for alerts. Our suggestions include not only the traffic alerts but to allow alerts for breaking news and weather too.
