Iberia Parish Celebrates Bunk Johnson Day

The Iberia Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau will celebrate the life of local music legend Bunk Johnson on Saturday, February 7th at the Iberia Parish Library, Main branch at 445 E. Main St. Festivities will take place from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, and the public is invited to attend this celebration of one of Louisiana's most influential jazz musicians. We are lucky to live in an area where our local musicians are celebrated, so come on out and learn more about one of Iberia Parish's most famous residents! There will be guest speakers, music, and and a retrospective on what the West End of New Iberia used to be like, that includes vintage photographs. Any music lover in Acadiana should attend this wonderful event celebrating Bunk Johnson!
