Iota to Shut Off Water Service This Morning

If you are a resident of the Town of Iota, you probably want to get your morning shower finished early as well as filling up the coffee pot too. The reason for all of this haste on your new normal no real commute Monday morning? You're about to be without water service for a few hours.

The Town of Iota has announced that beginning this morning about 8 am water department officials will begin inspection and cleaning of the town's water towers. This process will require that the water service be interrupted.

City officials anticipate the work will begin at about 8 am and should conclude by 4 pm. As a precaution, a boil advisory has been posted for when the water service is returned. This advisory will remain in place until such time as the water supply has been deemed safe by the Louisiana Department of Health.
