‘It’ Reveals a Threatening New Poster for Comic-Con
As a tagline, “You’ll float too” sounds more like a promise than a threat (maybe it’s both?), and the upcoming adaptation of It definitely seems ready and willing to deliver. Even if you haven’t read Stephen King’s classic horror novel and lack the context for that tagline, there’s something undeniably disturbing about it, especially when taken with this new poster created exclusively for Comic-Con 2017.
Warner Bros. just released an eerie new poster for It, the first in a two-part adaptation of King’s beloved book of the same name (the second part will begin filming next year). In addition to the poster, they’ve revealed that a new trailer will arrive next week. You can see a little of the poster above, but here’s the full thing, courtesy of the film’s official Facebook page:
If you’re at Comic-Con this week, you can snag one of these posters and take it over to the WB booth to have it signed by the Losers’ Club — for those unfamiliar, that’s what the main group of kids call themselves in both the book and the film.
Directed by Andres Muschietti (Mama), It is officially described as follows:
When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, neighborhood kids band together to square off against Pennywise, an evil clown whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
The film stars Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special), Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff and Chosen Jacobs, with Bill Skarsgard (Hemlock Grove) as Pennywise. It hits theaters on September 8.
