'I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse.' -Walt Disney, 1954

Please join me in a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the mouse we all know and love, Mickey Mouse! (You already knew I was a big kid.) Walt Disney created Mickey 86 years ago today and boy has he seen change over the years. For a lot of us, Mickey Mouse was a part of our childhood. He 'grew up' with us. My godchild's favorite television show at 3 or 4 was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Half of my VHS collection as a child consisted of Disney and Mickey Mouse. He was at the beginning of all of them and seeing him made me the happiest little girl in the world. Then there was the Mickey Mouse Club. We all wanted to be those kids! I'm sure Walt Disney had no idea the impact Mickey would make when he thought him up, but he is an icon for children...of ALL ages! Here is one of my favorites that I thought I would share with you,

These are my memories of that spunky old mouse. Thinking about it all, the really neat part is realizing that Mickey Mouse was something different to each and everyone of us growing up. Some memories are black and white, some are in color. My question is, what is your favorite Mickey Mouse memory?
