A Pedestrian Was Struck and Injured on the Evangeline Thruway

Officials say that all lanes of travel are now moving normally.

The woman who was hit by the vehicle is responsive, and she is being taken to a local hospital.

Tragedy struck Lafayette again today after the Lafayette Police Department confirms that a pedestrian was struck.

Officials say that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 2100 of the Northwest Evangeline Thruway at around 10:45 this morning.

The outside southbound lane is open; however, there are other lanes closed on each side of the Thruway at this time.
