Local Paint Company Wants to Repaint The Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette
It is time to address the appearance.
The owner of a local paint company wants to give the iconic Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette a facelift.
In a viral Facebook post, Terry Chestnut said:
"Who do I need to get in touch with to paint The Blackham Coliseum? This is a staple of our city but has been in need of a facelift for many years. I am willing to do it for half the price anyone else that is capable of doing it would do it for, to give back to the city I was born & raised in."
Like so many who drive past the Blackham, Chestnut has noticed the aging of the building, which is in the center of the city, and he wants to do something about it.
Terry Chestnut says that his company, The Paint Guys, has what it takes to address the appearance of the Blackham Coliseum and we hope that our friends at the University of Louisiana hear about his offer or proposal.
It really is time to address the appearance of the building and perhaps this can generate the conversation to address the aging arena.
Chestnut did say in his Facebook post that LA Drone Services would be glad to assist in the project too.
If you recall, they are the same company that recently cleaned the roof of the Cajundome, using high-powered drones.
We'll follow this proposal and we hope something good comes from it.
