Strong Cold Front Could Impact Louisiana by Early September

If you're tired of the summer heat in south Louisiana, you may be in luck in the days ahead.

A strong cold front could impact much of the southern region by the end of the week, and now some are saying that we could finally see the return of "Gumbo Weather," in September!

Normally we see these type of cold fronts towards the end of October, but as we approach the peak of Hurricane Season, we will take any break in the extreme heat and humidity levels we've seen all summer long.

So, if you've been waiting for cooler days in Louisiana, they could be here sooner rather than later, and perhaps you'll want to take out the gumbo pots and fire pits, even it is for just a few days.

Again, we remind you keep an eye on the tropics as we get through September, but if a break in the heat and humidity is in the forecast for the later part of this week, and into the weekend, we will graciously welcome it.

Fall is almost here, hang in there and let's hope for the best as we get through the 2024 hurricane season along the Gulf Coast.
