Attempted Murder Suspect Nabbed in Lafayette
Officials with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office have announced today they were able to track down a man wanted on a first-degree attempted murder charge.
The Sheriff's Office says 37-year-old Damone Campbell was captured.
The spokeswoman for the department, Valerie Ponseti says the information being released by the department is as follows,
This case involved allegations of crimes committed against a juvenile; due to the sensitive nature of the investigation, no further details will be provided.
What we can tell you is that four agencies worked together to affect this arrest. The agencies are as follows:

Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office
Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office
Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office
Sheriff Mark Garber said the following,
Without the thorough investigative leg work and evidence gathering performed by Iberia Parish Sheriff's Detectives, today's arrest would not have been possible. We are extremely grateful for their dedication to ensure justice is served for an exceptionally deserving victim.
Campbell was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
