Louisiana Crash Causes Major Delays on I-10 West
An early morning crash on I-10 West caused major delays as crews worked on a serious accident.
According to the Mire Fire Department, an 18-wheeler crashed and landed on its side, thus causing lane closures just before Rayne. You can see in the photo below that there was damage done to the safety cables that run parallel to the interstate.
DOTD officials said it happened near Church Point Highway around 6 a.m.
Louisiana State Police tells us that there are up to six vehicles involved in the crash. Two of the vehicles are commercial motor vehicles.
It is unknown at this time if there were any injuries in this crash, but we are following this developing story out of Acadia Parish.
