A Louisiana school bus was hit when there was a crash between two other vehicles in Lafayette Parish.

What Is Known About The Accident?

According to Tracy Wirtz, a spokeswoman for the Lafayette Parish School System, students were on the bus, which was running its usual route when it was hit.

The Lafayette Parish school bus driver was stopped with its lights and stop signs out on each side of the bus when the crash occurred. Wirtz says that a vehicle hit another car from behind on a roadway, and that vehicle was then pushed into the school bus.

How Many Students Were Taken To A Hospital?

Officials say that five students were taken by Acadian Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

All of the parents who had students on the bus have been notified of the situation. The other 15 students who were on the bus were then taken to Ridge Elementary on Fieldspan Road in Duson, and they will be checked out by a nurse.
