St. Martinville Student Attacked While on School Bus

The family of a 15-year-old girl who attends St. Martinville High Schooll wants answers after their relative was attacked by another student on a school bus.

KLFY News 10 reports that the fight was caught on camera on Wednesday, February 26th. According to their report, the student who was attacked has allegedly been bullied by her attacker for a few years now.

A relative of the student who was attacked had this to say while speaking to KLFY, “The parent has went to the school several times last school year, every time the daughter called and said this girl said she’s going to fight me, she’s pinning up her hair to fight me, and other children we’re around, she called her mom,”

The school was aware of the issue between the two students, and according to the news report, a stay-away order was issued to both students; however, they were both still allowed to ride on the same school bus.

The student who was attacked on the bus did not receive any serious injuries as a result of the attack, but the family will fill out a bullying form for the incident.

KLFY News 10 reports that the St. Martin Parish School Board is aware of the incident on the bus and released a statement to the news station, which you can read HERE.

At the request of the victim's family, we have elected to remove the video of the alleged assault on the school bus.
