I never thought the day would come when I would be glad to say, Jeff Gordon won a NASCAR race. The fact is I am. Jeff Gordon for all my disdain for him through the years has always been a great driver. He really handles a pretty wheel as they say in the business and it has been a while since we saw him in victory lane. I do find it funny he is driving for AARP, because I remember when he was the baby faced kid with a mustache driving the Baby Ruth car.

Overcoming a slew of potentially disastrous incidents, Gordon passed Kyle Busch with eight laps left and stretched his lead from there, ending his winless streak at 66 races Sunday at Phoenix International Raceway

Kyle Bush had a great week end, he won the truck race and the Nationwide race and came pretty close to scoring the trifecta. Phoenix was interesting this year and I think with the new points schedule set up by NASCAR we will have an interesting season to follow
