Kellogg has announced they're recalling about 10,000 cases of waffles over fear that they could possibly be contaminated with the listeria bacteria.

According to KATC, the product being recalled is their Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles.

As of yesterday, Kellogg says they've received no reports of any illnesses. Listeria can cause serious and even deadly infections primarily affecting the elderly, pregnant women, newborns and people with weak immune systems.

The Eggo waffles being recalled are the ones available in 10-count packs with "Used by" dates of Nov. 21, 2017 and Nov. 22, 2017.

They were sold in 25 states.

I haven't been able to find any specific information as to weather or not these were sold in Louisiana, but you should definitely check carefully if you have any in your freezer.
