If you were to ask Kip Moore about his 2012 at this point, he wouldn’t argue that it’s been the best year of his life and career. But it’s about to get a whole lot better this fall when he hits the road with Eric Church on his Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour, also featuring Justin Moore.

While the ‘Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck’ singer has played other tours, he is fired up about hitting the road with Church because he feels like he’s walking down the same path in his career.

“I’m such a student of the game,” Moore tells Taste of Country. “I know how good Eric is at what he does. We both kind of done things the same way, through the grassroots. We were in a van for the last three years touring the country, and I know he’s gone that same route. Things have been really slow for him, the way they’ve been for me. Now he’s reaching this big pentacle. It’s been a slow growth for him, but it’s a healthy growth. I’ve heard how great his thing is live.

“I’ve been such a fan of his records,” continues Moore. “I’m interested and excited about learning on this tour. I think I’ll be able to learn a whole lot just from the way he does his show. It’s going to be a blast. We bring the heat [with our live show]. I can’t wait for that thing to start.”

Moore was able to use his previous tour with David Nail and Billy Currington as a good learning tool to prepare himself for an even larger-scale tour that he will be walking into with Church.

“Billy’s just so good and he’s so playful with the fans,” notes Moore. “He brings them into his world. I went on tour with Billy two or three years ago. We played a couple of shows with him, and he’s light-years beyond that now. He’s a pro, and he’s very gracious and generous with his acts who are out with him. That’s something that I took from that tour.”

Moore’s leg of the Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour is set to kick off in September. In the meantime, Moore is continuing to headline his own dates throughout the summer months. Click here for a full list of where the singer will be performing next.
