LA State Historic Sites to Extend Hours Starting March 2
Louisiana has 22 beautiful state parks, and as of Monday, March 2nd, some of them will be open longer hours for more to enjoy! State Parks are open 365 days a year, and State Historic Sites are open 9:00 AM - to 5:00 PM on various schedules, which you can always check at www.LaStateParks.com. The Louisiana State Arboretum in Baton Rouge is open 9:00 AM. to 5:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday
But starting Monday, March 2, Audubon State Historic-Site, St Francisville, Longfellow Evangeline State Historic Site in St Martinville and Port Hudson State Historic Site on La. Hwy. 61 between Baton Rouge and St. Francisville will all be open from 9:00am - 5:00 pm 7 days a week. Poverty Point World Heritage Site and Rosedown Plantation State Historic Site are also open seven days a week, and Fort St. Jean Baptiste, Forts Randolph and Buhlow, and Mansfield State Historic Site are all open Wednesday - Sunday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
