Another local business owner is giving back to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lafayette Chick-fil-A owner-operator John L. Arton is donating 3,000 meals to help lighten the burden many families are experiencing during this difficult time.

Arton tells KATC TV-3, "We enjoy the opportunity to give back to the community."

For the next three Saturdays, LCG will help distribute meals for Chick-fil-A at Brown Memorial Park at 1234 Pont des Mouton Road in Lafayette beginning at 11 am. Meals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

A Chick-fil-A sandwich, waffle potato chips, and a chocolate chunk cookie will be available to members of the community who are underemployed or who are working reduced hours because of the pandemic.

Meal distribution dates/times are as follows:

  • May 2, 11:00 am
  • May 9, 11:00 am
  • May 16, 11:00 am
