In their first game of pool play in the Junior Division World Series in Taylor, Michigan, the Lafayette Little League Junior All Stars (13-14 year olds) came back from an early 2-0 deficit to defeat the team from Indiana (US Central) by the score of 3-2.

Indiana scored two runs in the top of the 2nd inning to go up 2-0. But Lafayette (US Southwest) responded quickly, scoring one run in the bottom of the 2nd to cut the Indiana lead to 2-1.

Lafayette then added another run in the bottom of the 3rd to tie the score at 2.

In the bottom of the 5th inning, Tyler Miller ripped an RBI double for Lafayette, which scored Brandon Duhon, to give Lafayette a 3-2 lead. Miller's RBI would prove to be enough as Lafayette held on for the 3-2 win.
