A Lafayette man is in the running for a $1 million prize for a commercial that he and his friends submitted for the Doritos "Crash the Super Bowl" contest.

Mark St. Cyr, a Lafayette High School graduate, is now acting in New York City and is one of the 10 finalists in the contest. There were thousands of entries.

St. Cyr and his crew made the video on a $80 budget. If they win, their commercial will air during the Super Bowl this Sunday.

The winner will also receive a $1 million prize and a dream job at Universal Pictures. Additionally, all 10 finalists won a trip to the Super Bowl!

Mark said it's all about taking risks, and not just in the commercial.

"Once you decide you wanna do it, just take the first next step. You know, I have no idea how I'm going to get to, like, an Oscar or something, but I'm like, 'Well, what might the next step be?'" St. Cyr. said.
