Lafayette Man Accused Of Picking Up Eight Ounces Of Meth At Maurice Post Office

Troy Blake, 47, of Lafayette is in jail in Vermilion Parish for allegedly picking up eight oz of crystal meth at the post office in Maurice.

Maurice Police were given a tip last week that a shipment of methamphetamine was being shipped through the mail. The package was intercepted, and police obtained a warrant to search the contents. The contents turned out to be 8 oz of crystal meth. Troy Blake was arrested when he picked up the package, along with 24-year-old Mark Harris of Plaquemine, who was riding in the car with Blake.
