Lafayette Man Wins Louisiana State Duck Calling Contest

The competition was fierce this past weekend at the Geuydan Civic Center for the official "Louisiana State Duck Calling Contest". There could be only one, and when it was all over, that person was 24-year-old Brooks Richard from Lafayette!

Richard went up against duck callers from all over Louisiana and Arkansas and took home the championship. Brooks will now move on to the "World Duck Calling Championship" in Stuttgart, Arkansas, in November.
