GUEYDAN, La. (KMDL-FM) - Organizers of the Gueydan Duck Festival have announced a big headliner for this year’s milestone celebration, and country music fans will want to take note.
Friday Night Headliner Announced
Legendary country singer Tracy Byrd will be heading down to Vermilion Parish later this summer. Byrd will be headlining the music lineup on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Wayne Toups Takes the Stage Saturday
The next night, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, Wayne Toups will take the stage at the Gueydan Duck Festival.
50 Years of the Gueydan Duck Festival
This year marks the 50th year of celebrating the Gueydan Duck Festival. It will run August 27-30.

About Tracy Byrd
Now 59 years old, Tracy Byrd is a native of Vidor, Texas and no stranger to performing in south Louisiana. Just last year he played a show at Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino in Opelousas.
A prominent figure in traditional country music, Byrd has been on the national scene since 1993. Some of his hits include "Holdin' Heaven," "Watermelon Crawl," "The Keeper of the Stars," "I'm From the Country," and "Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo."
